PROMOTIONS

Don’t ask for one, they will be handed out at random based off performance and ability to do the job. If you ask you’ll be disqualified until the next round of promotions

PATROL SOP’s

The traffic officer in the pursuit vehicle will be the first vehicle to respond to calls as they can get there the fastest. Once on scene they will give an update on the situation and advise if additional LSPD resources are needed.
Follow the chain of command if you have any issues. When in doubt ask.
After a scene of shots fired check the area for evidence and log it at LSPD. If you don’t know where to go ASK
Keep all radio traffic pertinent to the situation at hand.
Traffics, stops, call outs etc
When enroute to calls etc say your callsign and wait for the dispatcher to respond before relaying what you are doing, where you are going etc.
If told to switch to another channel if there is more than one scene taking place please do so
During a scene if citizens walk into it you are to instruct them to immediately leave the area or they will be arrested. If they do not leave, arrest them and charge them with obstruction.
NO RANDOMLY RUNNING CODE FOR NO REASON you must be enroute to a call to run code. The level of code which you run to the call must be appropriate for the call type.
SHOP / Bank Robbery
These need to be reset after each robbery attempt
Shops are: /pdshoprobbery
Resetting the shops will allow others in the city to be able to rob them
AIR1
Thermals are to be used in open areas such as sandy shores, grassy areas with bushes or the mountains near Paleto Bay.
Night vision can also be used in these areas to aide in searching for suspects
Rappelling
Only swat certified officers may rappel from AIR1

REPORTS

Must be done after someone is charged and sent to jail
Need to be thorough and include WHO, WHAT, Where, WHEN, WHY and HOW
Add any pictures you may have to the report for evidence purposes
If you are unsure of how your report is, have a fellow officer review it.
If you don’t know how to use the MDT or do reports, we’re all here to help.

ARRESTS / CHARGING

During a scene if you arrest someone YOU WILL be the one to transport and book them, no questions asked.
All arrestees will be taken to have their fingerprints and mugshots taken unless this has already been done previously.
All illegal items will be taken. If you are unsure what’s illegal ASK
When booking, do not take forever, but if the RP is there, HAVE FUN WITH IT. If the jail time is insane and they gave an amazing scene, reduce it to something reasonable.
As soon as you cuff someone they must be Mirandaized before you search them.
You can either uncuff them in the cell, or leave them cuffed, up until the point where you send them to jail. Ultimately this is for officer safety and prevents them communicating with outside help.
You MUST mirandize them after you place them in cuffs
When using the t/pdtransport bus for prisoner transport, you have to uncuff them before loading them on the bus.
